The comic duo will also be joined on the night by stand-up comedian, actor and writer Barry Castagnola.

Greg Davies said: “Loros is a fantastic charity and I am proud to be a patron, so being able to support them in this way is great.

“I’m a long-term admirer of Cariad’s Griefcast podcast and recording it during Dying Matters Week, when we’re encouraging people to start difficult conversations about death, will, I hope, encourage others to do the same.”

Fellow comedian Cariad Lloyd will be interviewing Greg and recording their conversation for Griefcast, which won podcast of the year in 2018.

She said: "Greg is an incredible comedian and a wonderful human and it will be an honour to talk to him and Barry for Griefcast.

“The show is an open chat about death and our experiences of grief and I promise it’s much cheerier than it sounds.

“Anything that encourages more discussion about something that so many of us have been through and inevitably all will encounter at some point is worthwhile.”

A Dead Funny Evening will take place on Friday May 17, with doors opening at 6.30pm. The conversation will get underway at 7.30pm.
