Stunning light trail at LOROS Hospice’s Light Up a Life event

The annual LOROS Light Up a Life service is back at the Hospice this December and, for the first time, it’s accompanied by a glittering light trail.

The family friendly trail, which follows a route around the Hospice grounds, will see thousands of lights festoon trees and walkways, creating a magical experience for everyone.

It is hoped that the trail will enhance the Light Up a Life service, offering an opportunity to remember loved ones who will be missed this Christmas.

Andrew Ward, Events Lead at LOROS: “We are delighted to be holding our Light Up a Life service in person once again, and we know how much people have missed paying their respects to loved ones no longer with us.

“This year we wanted to make the lights really shine by lighting up, not just our Christmas tree, but our entire Hospice grounds. We hope people will find it as special as we do.”

As well as the beautiful, dazzling trail, there will be opportunities to reflect on loved ones and commemorate their memory by lighting a candle to add to the display.

The trail will be followed by LOROS’ Light Up a Life service, a much-loved event of readings, poems and music which honours those who hold a special place in our hearts.

The LOROS Memory Light Trail is open to view from 3.30-7.30pm on Sunday 3rd December. The Light Up a Life service starts at 5pm and last around 40 minutes. All are welcome and the event is free.
