A Halloween party night, held at the Braunstone Victoria Working Men's Club on Friday 28th October, raised £550 for LOROS
Organised by Violetta (Viv) Howker's family and friends the event proved to be extremely successful; special mention must go to Viv's grandson Austin, who organised the disco and acted as DJ for the night using all his own equipment.
Debbie Dickman, fundraising organiser at LOROS said: "There was a fantastic turn out for the event and I was amazed at the amount of halloween costumes.
"I was delighted to be asked to judge the fancy dress competition, but have to confess it was very difficult to decide as they were all so good!
"I would like to thank Viv's family and friends for organising this event and raising such a lot of money for the Hospice."
