Elaine Stonehouse and the team at The Three Nuns pub, Loughborough held a fundraising event over the August bank holiday 2017 in aid of two local charities, LOROS and The Laura Centre.
Elaine’s mother sadly died at the hospice and she now volunteers at our Devonshire Square, Loughborough shop. The day started with a BBQ at Elaine’s home and then continued on to the pub for the afternoon and evening. There was live music, an auction and stalls at the event which took place on a beautiful summer’s day in August.
Abigail Jarrom, fundraising co-ordinator said: "We are so pleased that the event went well, the weather was beautiful and everyone involved thoroughly enjoyed the day. They raised an amazing £1,387.50 for LOROS which is a fantastic achievement.
"It was such a pleasure to meet them all and accept their cheque on behalf of LOROS."
This donation could pay for a day of complimentary therapy for patients and their families (£500) as well as the running of the hospice for an hour (£870).
