A local housebuilder is celebrating after two of its team members raised more than £1,000 for a Leicestershire hospice.

Redrow Homes Midlands’ Clare Hindley, group learning and development manager, and Liz Gibbs, apprentice painter and decorator, took part in a skydive to raise money for LOROS Leicestershire hospice. They raised £931, with Redrow Midlands’ adding a further £250, bringing the total to £1,181.

The hospice is close to their hearts as Clare’s father and Liz’s mother each stayed at LOROS after being diagnosed with brain cancer.

Clare said: “I’m so grateful to the team at LOROS for the excellent care they showed to my father during his time with them – and to me and my family too. They couldn’t do enough to help us, and Liz’s experience reflected this too, so we wanted to say thank you in a meaningful way. It was a fantastic experience, and we’re thrilled to have raised money for this wonderful local charity - and delighted Redrow added to the amount we raised too.”

Pauline Turnbull, Sales Director for Redrow Homes Midlands, said: “We are so proud of our colleagues for taking on this challenge to raise money for a very deserving cause.

“They did fantastically well, and we were delighted to contribute to their fundraising efforts.”
