Druck employee supports local Hospice

A member of the Aerospace team at Druck is supporting a local charity and helping her fellow co-workers to stay safe from Covid-19 by crafting bespoke face masks in her spare time.

Muslin maskIn just a few weeks Aerospace Production operative Suki Dhillon has already made over 125 face masks, with profits going to LOROS.

She said: "When working on the shop floor I found wearing a snood challenging to breathe in. I had some spare Muslim fabric at home and a sewing machine and thought it would be a fun idea to make my own personalised face covering. I then started receiving requests from friends and colleagues and came up with the idea of making the face coverings to raise money for charity."

Marie Gilmore, Manufacturing Specialist said: "Suki came up with the idea of creating protective coverings for people on-site to raise money for LOROS. Masks were tested to ensure they were anti-static and met all safety requirements. Suki is a fantastic member of the Druck team who always goes above and beyond for her colleagues. We are very lucky to have people as dedicated and generous as Suki on our team."

The masks are being sold for a minimum donation of £1 and in just a few weeks Suki has raised over £175.

Great work Suki and a massive thank you from everyone here at LOROS for your very generous gesture.
