Event Details
LOROS has commissioned an artist to design a bespoke Tree of Life sculpture, creating a beautiful one-of-a-kind installation in our Hospice gardens.
The LOROS Tree of Life is a unique way to support a very special new LOROS service.
By purchasing a leaf on this beautiful hand-sculptured tree, you will be supporting a service which can help fulfil a final wish.
We need your help
Many of our patients choose to spend their last days of life in the comfort of their own homes. Currently for patients who make this choice, nursing support is available during the day to bring the much-needed comfort and reassurance as well as medication and advice. But at night, there is little funding for this vital service in patients’ homes. We need your help.
Your support of the LOROS Tree of Life will help run the Overnight Response Service, for one year, between the hours of 10pm and 8am, to help care for people in their darkest hours. A specialist nurse, trained in end of life care, will be available to patients and their families for advice and support when they are needed most.
For the 3,200 families each year who experience the death of a loved one at home, it means reassurance that help will come no matter the time, day or night.
A unique sculpture
The Tree of Life will be a unique, bespoke sculpture, and by engraving a leaf in memory of a loved one, you will be forever a part of it.
1,500 hand-crafted, personalised leaves represent those who are important to us, and who we wish to celebrate and remember.
Pre-order your leaf now and help fulfil a final wish. For more information please contact our Supporter Care Team at supportercare@loros.co.uk or (0116) 231 8431.
