And it’s not just local, this exciting roles offers the chance to plan and organise international events, with recent overseas challenges taking LOROS as far as Peru or the Sahara! You’ll feel a real affinity with our event supporters and understand what makes them tick, creating events which motivate them to sign up and get them fundraising for an amazing cause.

Salary range £22,802 - £24,309 per annum depending upon experience
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to become part of the ambitious Events Team at LOROS. As Challenge Events Fundraising Coordinator, you encourage participation in predominantly third-party challenge events, such as The London Marathon, Skydives, International Treks, The Run Leicester Festival and other exciting UK-based challenges.
Managing our portfolio of challenge events, you will have experience of fundraising as part of a charity challenge, either professionally or in your own time, and will empathise with supporters such that you can support them on their challenge journey to help them reach their fundraising goals. You will work closely with external stakeholders to facilitate challenge events, ensuring they meet our own high standards for events.
To be successful, you will have excellent organisational skills, a great eye for detail, initiative, and be an excellent communicator, both written and oral. You will be confident in speaking and presenting to groups and must be able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
The ideal applicant will be passionate, persuasive and be able to motivate people to take up a challenge they may never have considered before. The successful applicant with have a great work ethic and be willing and able to work long hours over weekend and evenings during busy event periods.
