Golfers raised £9,800 for LOROS.

The annual golf day at Rothley Park Golf Club saw 22 teams of four raise money for the hospice.

Diane Morris, fundraising manager for LOROS, said: "I am so grateful to all the players for participating in what was a very enjoyable day.

"Rothley Park Golf Club did a fantastic job in enabling the event to take place even though torrential rain the evening before almost stopped play."

The sell-out event was sponsored by LCM Wealth Management. The winning team was Weightmans Solicitors, second was Throgmorton Associates and Office Friendly Nomads came third.

The ladies nearest the pin competition was won by Anne Coupland and the men's by Nish Bathia. The ladies' longest drive was won by Roisin Mason and the men's by Robin Parker.

Next year's event will be held on May 3.
