A building society manager walked over broken glass and then did the same over fire to raise money for a hospice.

Alex Knapper, premises manager at Hinckley and Rugby Building Society, took on his challenge at the weekend in front of crowds at Lutterworth Royal British Legion fun day.

Alex was raising money for Loros, which cared for his colleague Jeanette Lewis, who died in April after losing her battle with cancer.

The building society also put £250 sponsorship towards the day.
