Two chief executives of Leicestershire building societies are starting a charity challenge to get round all the company's branches on the same day using different modes of transport.

Chris White of the Hinckley and Rugby and Mark Robinson of the Market Harborough have found a novel way to fundraise.

The two will visit the headquarters of all six societies in Leicester, a 70-mile journey, while travelling in the most unusual vehicles they can find. Steamrollers, a tandem, canoes, milk floats and a horse and trap are already scheduled.

The two are still looking for more options and sponsorship for their challenge on September 21.

To provide them with vehicles contact Stewart Heeley or Carla Loughrey on 01455 894028.
