Sturgess Motor Group have again kindly agreed to host the launch party of the 2013 Accumulator Charity Challenge on Tuesday 19th March. The Accumulator Charity Challenge raises vital funds for local Hospices LOROS and Rainbows by asking local companies to “get nifty with a fifty”.
The challenge, which follows the same format as last year sees local businesses sign up to receive a £50 note with which they have three months to increase the amount as much as is legally and ethically possible.
2012 saw over twenty local businesses go head to head in an attempt to win the prestigious awards associated with the challenge; “Most Innovative Idea” and “Most Money Raised”. Alex Gamble, LOROS Corporate Fundraiser said; “We were amazed and inspired by some of the unique fundraising ideas the challengers came up with last year. The 2012 participants managed to raise a whopping £21000 which was split equally between LOROS and Rainbows. We can’t wait to see what this year’s challengers come up with!”.
So whether you want to start a business, buy and sell, put on a unique event, or something completely different The Accumulator Charity Challenge gives you the opportunity to do so while raising funds for your local hospices. LOROS and Rainbows see companies come back year on year to take part in this unique initiative as it provides fantastic PR for your company and demonstrates social responsibility while increasing staff morale and promoting your companies culture. Cathy Bown of Rainbows said; “One thing that the companies really love about this fundraising initiative is the flexibility of it. The challenge takes place over three months, so you are never pinned down to a specific date. It is completely down to you how much time you want to dedicate and also where, when and how you raise your money”
