A curry and cabaret evening raised £700 for Leicester hospice LOROS.

The event at the Spice 45 Indian restaurant, in Narborough, included a buffet of curries and side dishes and a cabaret.

Performers included Ian Timothy, a hypnotherapist and author and 16-year-old Anna Wilkes, from Narborough, who sang and played guitar.

Leicester singer Naomi Marcella, who has performed at several Loros events, also sang a range of songs.

Monica Winfield, BBC Radio Leicester presenter and Loros ambassador compèred the event on Tuesday evening.

LOROS senior fundraiser Adrian Walker said: "It was an excellent night with more than 60 people there.

"The entertainment was top notch and the food was excellent. The performers played for free and the restaurant donated half of the £15 cost of the tickets to the hospice."
