Charity urges support to remain on path

Last week due to the extreme weather conditions, LOROS took careful consideration to postpone the Twilight Walk until Saturday 13th April at the King Power Stadium.

Christian Weikert-Picker, event organiser said; “I was very disappointed when we had to postpone the Twilight Walk. If you cancel or postpone an event there are just as many obstacles to manage. With the Twilight Walk being the charities biggest fundraising event, to move it is a massive worry, it could have a dramatic effect on the funds raised, everyone may not be able to make the rescheduled date.

“I hope this is not the case and we get a full house, I am encouraging all the ladies to stick with us and I hope that they will join us on Saturday 13th April for a fun filled evening, we can still accommodate more walkers, we have reopened registration for new participants who were unable to make the previous date, please click online or visit www.thetwilightwalk.co.uk.”

The LOROS Twilight Walk is a ladies only sponsored walk through the streets of Leicester, last year it grossed over £60,000 for the charity.

Cummins Solicitors, who are sponsoring the event have pledged their support for the new date and hope the ladies will still dress up and have as much fun on the evening.
