Golfers aid hospice

A golf day has raised £10,500 for LOROS hospice.

Diane Morris, fundraising manager for the charity, said companies from across the region attended the annual event at Rothley Park Golf Club.

"The generosity of the sponsors ensured an amazing profit of £10,500 was raised to help fund care for our terminally ill patients and support for their families," she said.

The event, held on Friday, May 3, attracted 21 teams.
