Jules Crawley, PA to the MD at Hawthorn Theatrical Ltd, has inspired the Social Committee at Hawthorn Theatrical Ltd, based in Old Dalby, Leicestershire, to get together a team of adventurers to participate in a climb up Ben Nevis on Saturday 17th August 2013 to raise money for LOROS.

Whilst the ideal time to climb up Ben Nevis is normally four hours – the team of 17 is hoping to complete the climb and descent in six to eight hours, weather permitting.

The team will be led by the Managing Director’s son Gavin Hawthorn and consists of: Paul Smith; Ed Thornton; Richard Castle; Lee Shrubb; Matt Edgington; Sam Kilby; James Cockayne; Ben Galbraith; Carl Culley; Joe Duncan; Jack Hockin; Ben Kusi; Richard Hill; Kev Proctor; Jeanette Hicks; and Jules Crawley.

The Hawthorn Theatrical team has been busy organising the whole event themselves while training and gathering sponsors at the same time!

Jules said: “We so much wanted to do something to support LOROS, especially with being local to the area. We are intending to do this climb for ‘those that can’t’ and hope we raise enough money to benefit as many people as possible.”

Corporate Fundraiser for LOROS Laura Betts said: “It’s fantastic when companies really get involved with fundraising and are passionate about the cause. The team at Hawthorn’s are incredibly motivated and I am certain that they will accomplish the target they have set for themselves! The Ben Nevis challenge is a great fundraiser, but it also provides an excellent opportunity for team building and boosting the company's CSR rating. We wish the whole team the very best of luck."
