Crowds converged on Stapleford Miniature Railway over the Bank Holiday for the annual steam weekend in aid of LOROS, the county hospice for people with terminal illnesses.

Visitors enjoyed riding miniature steam trains, they viewed three working traction engines and youngsters were thrilled with the chance to drive mini tanks around the site.

Nigel Spencer, of the Friends of The Stapleford Miniature Railway, said: “We were very busy on Monday. People were queuing for train rides from just before 11am until 5pm.”
