A pair of hikers are preparing for a walking expedition to raise money for LOROS.

Lauren Barham, 19, of East Goscote, and her 24-year-old boyfriend Ben Hensman will set out next Wednesday for South Africa, to tackle Table Mountain.

Lauren said: "Neither of us is a keen hiker, so we need all the support we can get.

"Sadly, in 2011 both of my grandfathers passed away in LOROS, so, I know from personal experience that LOROS is a wonderful, worthy cause."

Anyone wishing to sponsor Lauren and Ben can contact them on: www.justgiving.com/ lauren-barham

People can also give by texting KKYL54 and the amount of the donation to 70070.
