Charity chiefs have said their annual fund-raising fireworks event will go ahead at Mallory Park.

Bosses at LOROS have been given permission to stage the display at Mallory Park, on Saturday, November 2, despite Mallory Park (Motorsport) Ltd (MPML) going into administration.

A LOROS spokesman said the landlord, Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council and the British Automobile Racing Club, the parent company of MPML, had agreed to let the event go ahead.

MPML went into administration last month and track events have been cancelled.

Fireworks organiser Laura Betts, said: "We are absolutely thrilled. We would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone involved in making this possible.

"It is imperative now we get the message across to our supporters that the event will go ahead."

Councillor Stuart Bray, leader of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, said he was delighted the event would go ahead at the track, where it has been held in the previous seven years.

He said: "The council contacted landowner Titan Properties Ltd and the administrator as soon as we learned of this and I'm pleased all parties have been able to confirm the event will still take place at Mallory Park as planned."

Advance family tickets are priced at £8.

Tickets for the event are on sale at:
