The annual LOROS Christmas concert has raised £2,000 for the charity.

A host of seasonal singers, readers and performers gathered in Leicester Cathedral to help raise funds in the concert, organised by the charity's president, Jennifer, Lady Gretton.

Adrian Walker, senior fundraiser at LOROS, said: "It was an excellent event and everyone went home enthusiastic."

A team from the charity was put in charge of seeking out talent to perform at the concert. The line-up featured a group of BBC Radio Leicester presenters including Dave Andrews and Monica Winfield, Uppingham Youth Choir and Leicester Fosse Brass Ensemble.
