Finishing touches are being made to LOROS’ new town centre shop which is due to open to the public later this month.

LOROS is moving from its Windsor Street shop into the much larger, former Gamestation building in Market Place.

The shop is due to open to the public on Monday, 17th February, with an official opening planned for later in the month.

LOROS’ trading manager, Jonathan Capewell, said: “Windsor Street was the smallest of our 25 shops and because of its size we could only sell bric-a-brac and books.

“Our new shop is very large and in a good prominent place. Another great thing is it’s all on one floor so there are no stairs.

“We’ll now be able to sell clothes, which provide about a third of our income, and some upcycled furniture. We’ll also have a good range of books, bric-a-brac and vintage items.”

LOROS, which has a three-year lease on the building, needs more volunteers to help out at the shop. If you can spare four hours a week call (0116) 231 3666.
