LOROS Easter Tree Eggstravaganza

Can you help us make eggs to decorate our Easter Tree?

Get creative and help us make thousands of eggs to decorate our Easter tree at our Groby Road Hospice, Leicester by Friday 11th April.

For the next three weeks our patients, staff and volunteers will be donning an apron and decorating eggs to hang on an ash tree located outside the Hospice social area.

The decorated tree will be a focal point for patients, families and visitors to the Hospice over the Easter period.

To really make a splash, we need thousands of eggs – more than we can make – so we’d like to ask local people, schools, community groups, and businesses to get involved and help us!

The Easter Egg Tree was the idea of Cecilia Davis, Creative Therapist at LOROS, who said: “This kind of project gives our patients a sense of achievement, and one that they can share with their family and friends. The tree also reflects perfectly the colourful, creative side of LOROS”.

Every egg counts. Your finished eggs can be dropped off at the Hospice at any time from now onwards and until Friday 11th April, and all we ask is that they be sealed with clear varnish to make them weatherproof.

Packets of foam eggs can be purchased from Wilkinson’s, The Works, The Range or any craft shop for around 99p. You can also use wooden, plastic or paper mache eggs.

Our Hospice reception is open 24 hours a day and can be found just off the Groby Road in Leicester.
