An event at Rothley Park Golf Club has raised £13,000 for LOROS.

The annual tournament featured 23 teams from businesses. An auction and a raffle were also held.

Spire Leicester Hospital (pictured below, right), wealth management specialists Throgmorton Associates and McNicholas Construction finished first, second and third.

Alt textTeam prizes were donated by Next and individual prizes by Sam Spillane, of SJ Events, and Danny Spillane, of Golf Retail.

Diane Morris, fundraising manager for LOROS said: "I am so grateful to all the players for participating and for their generosity."

LOROS Hospice has unveiled a special celebrity supporter of its new Stomp Round Leicester art trail. Artist Daft-apeth, aka Serge Pizzorno, lead singer of Leicester rock band Kasabian, has designed one of the 40 giant elephants that form the art trail.
