"Rogues Run" European Road Trip in support of LOROS

News

23 May 2014

On Wednesday 21 May, James Havinden, 25, a Soldier from Whetstone Leicester, and Nicky Branstone, 27, a CAD/Graphics Designer from South Wigston Leicester set out on the first leg of their five day, 2400 mile European road trip to raise funds in memory of James's Gran, who recently passed away in LOROS.

There trip will take them through Dunkirk, Verbier, Sanremo, Valence and Le Mans, and will include a little excursion into the F1 at Monaco for a testing/qualifying drive and a Rogues Run traditional end of run celebration party.

James said, "My Gran, Eileen Grant, a former landlady of the Dog and Gun Pub in Whetstone for over 3 decades, was diagnosed with a terminal illness. This news was devastating to the family and the team at LOROS supported us all with care that was way beyond what was expected.

The facilities at LOROS are exceptional and the staff that work there are totally amazing. Although I wish that nobody would ever require the services of the LOROS team, it is a sad fact that there will always be people reliant on the expert help, advice and care that they provide.

I am raising the money in memory of my Gran and to say thank you to LOROS for the care and support they gave to her, and her family."

The duo will be updating their facebook page on a regular basis and you can follow their progress here

Nicky and James are hoping to raise lots of money for LOROS. If you would like to help them, please visit their My Donate page
