Volunteering Opportunities Fair on Saturday 28th June 2014

We have exciting, new opportunities for people to volunteer in different roles in the Hospice and in the community and are holding a Volunteer Fair at the Hospice on Saturday 28th June 2014, 11am to 2pm.

If you are over 18, caring, compassionate and reliable and have a few hours to spare a week to help our patients we have roles that you might be interested in. We will provide training and on going support.

Administration

We are looking for volunteers to work in a varied role that provides opportunities to work in reception, administration and support roles across our administration teams.

Creative therapy

Supporting the creative therapy facilitator to help patients work using different methods such as art, photography, memory boxes.

Special Interest Groups

Do you have an interest or hobby you would like to talk to patients about in Day Therapy?

Bereavement support

Are you interested in supporting bereaved individuals to come to terms with their feelings following a death? Have you experience of working with individuals or groups?

Home Visiting

Supporting people with advanced illness and their carers at home.

Counselling and Psychological Support

The Hospice is keen to offer a small number of placements for qualified counsellors working towards hours for accreditation or for students on post-diploma or post-graduate training requiring counselling.
