Dave Simmonds remembered by British Gypsum

Back in April Tracy Ashby, a graphic designer from British Gypsum, organised a cake sale and Easter Egg Raffle in aid of LOROS.

The charity events were organised in memory of Dave Simmonds who worked with Tracy. He sadly passed away the year before and was supported in his final days by LOROS.

British Gypsum kindly match funded the fantastic £186.00 which was raised during the events, making a grand total of £372.00. This could pay for approximately 75 meals for our patients and just goes to show how your fundraising efforts truly make an amazing difference to LOROS.

Jacqueline Kersey, a member of British Gypsum Good Causes & Charity committee, said: “LOROS do an excellent job and it is a pleasure to be able to help.”

Alex Gamble, Partnership Development Executive at LOROS, said, “To provide our valued services to patients and their families free of charge we rely upon the generosity and support of local people, organisations and businesses.

"The support received from companies like British Gypsum enables us to raise the £4.5 million needed each year. We would like to thank Tracy and all at British Gypsum who took part, enjoyed cakes and helped us to help others.”

If you would like to encourage your company to support your own fundraising event please do not hesitate to contact a member of the LOROS Partnership Development Team on 0116 2318431/2.
