Market Harborough Building Society is delighted to present LOROS Hospice with a cheque totalling over £10,000, raised from donations made by the Society in relation to the Instant Access LOROS savings account and the Society’s AGM voting scheme.

Lisa Ashley, Branch Manager of the Market Harborough Branch, said, “We are proud to be supporting LOROS. Their presence in the local area is highly valued and they play a big part in supporting our community. The funds they raise help to improve the quality of so many peoples’ lives. I’d like to say a big thank you to our members, for their ongoing support as the Instant Access charity account is a great way to benefit this charity.”

Alex Gamble from LOROS Hospice said, "The ongoing support from the Society is really appreciated. We are delighted by the generous amounts the Society donates. The funding the Society provides is really vital as well as helping us raise awareness through the savings account. We would like to say a huge thank you to the members for their continuing support."

LOROS has put its name to an Instant Access savings account with the Society, allowing customers to save and help the local charity. Each year the Society donates 0.5% of the average balances held in each account to the hospice, making a huge difference.

Since the charity account was launched in 2008, the Society and its members have proudly supported this local cause. LOROS cares for patients where a cure is no longer possible, whilst also providing support for their families and carers.

In addition, as part of the Society’s AGM voting scheme, 25p was donated for every vote made by its members from a choice of three charities including LOROS.
