Pupils raise an incredible £1,800 for LOROS

As part of the PHSE and Citizenship Course Year 9 Pupils at Leysland High School in Countesthorpe chose LOROS as their chosen charity for their Charities Afternoon, on Monday 30th June 2014.

Loads of fun was had on the afternoon, and it all took place in just one hour! The Year 9’s organised the fundraising activities and the rest of the school and staff came along to have fun and raise money, enjoying activities such as Sponge a Friend , Bean and Mushy Pea Dip, Pizza Parlour, Bush Tucker Cake Challenge, Milkshake Stalls and much more! In addition, pupils also contributed £1 to not wear school uniform for the day.

Rachel Hill, Fundraiser at LOROS said, “We were really pleased to be asked to attend the Year 9 leavers assembly today and hearing about all the fundraising activities in aid of LOROS. It was fantastic to receive a cheque for £1,800 for the Hospice, such an incredible amount. Thank you so much to everyone for your support.”
