On 2nd July, Vernon Ward, Jon Ruskin and Chris Lester set off on a three day, 294 mile, London to Paris Bike Ride in aid of LOROS.

The ride took them from London, through beautiful English villages and into the stunning countryside of rural France before reaching the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Vernon said, "The organisation of the ride by Skyline was excellent and whilst the ride was hard, all of us would wholeheartedly encourage anyone who is thinking about taking on this challenge.

"It was an extremely enjoyable experience and gave us the opportunity to raise money for a very worthwhile cause. We received overwhelming support and would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors."

Wendy Marshall, a fundraising co-ordinator at LOROS said, "We are delighted that Vernon, Jon and Chris enjoyed their fundraising event so much.

"To raise in excess of £6,000 is a truly remarkable achievement and will help us to continue to provide the highest quality of care to our patients and their families - we can't thank them enough"
