The 33rd/65th Leicester Scout Group, along with their Leader Cathy Kennell, visited LOROS to donate £40.00 from their ice bucket challenge.
During their visit they were given a tour of the hospice and were treated to drinks and cakes.
Wendy Marshall, Fundraising Co-ordinator said “It was lovely to meet the scouts and we are so grateful for them for raising money for LOROS from their ice bucket challenge.”
This September marks LOROS’ 40th birthday since it first opened its doors in 1985.
They say elephants never forget. Now LOROS is keeping that promise with its Remember Me elephant. The mammoth elephant is the work of local artist Anna Shutt, who was inspired by looking through photograph albums of relatives.
LOROS Hospice is pleased to confirm it will receive a share of the Government’s recently announced £75 million capital fund for hospices in England.
