Opus Trust Marketing recently invited us to hold a LOROS Day for their staff. It was a great oportunity for us to raise awareness about the diversity of Hospice care and show the many ways they can get involved, from fundraising or volunteering, to campaigning or acting as an advocate in their local community.
In among the stands was a delicious cake stall, which raised more than £130 for LOROS. A spokesperson at Opus said: "The cakes on display rivalled anything that has been seen this year on the British Bake Off - unfortunately no one at Opus Trust Marketing was quite as witty as Mel and Sue! 
Nevertheless money was raised for a very worthy cause and a bit more body insulation was added in time for winter!"
Jane Taylor, LOROS Lottery Development Co-ordinator said: "We were really pleased to have been invited into the Opus Trust Marketing Offices to hold our LOROS Day. The cake sale was really popular right from the start and it wasn’t long before Magda in Fundraising was able to declare the home made plum cake was sold out!
"It was lovely to speak to so many of OTM staff about all the areas that they could get involved in to support LOROS. We had some fantastic feedback, generous donations, sign ups to the LOROS Lottery and many came to make use of the brand new donation station which was confirmed on the day. All in all it was a brilliant day spreading the word and raising funds for the Hospice.”
