Jo Ward (aka Miss Cherry Blossom) and Hayley Alesbrook-Sewell (aka aka Honey Moon) who make up TC Burlesque, raised an amazing £556 at their recent Tinsel and Tease concert held at the Ellen Louisa vintage Tearooms on Friday 5th December.

They would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the event, bought tickets or donated prizes in support of the event.

Jo said: "We would especially like to record our thanks to all the performers for offering their time free of charge with such enthusiasm and excitement, to Julie for her calming influence and words of wisdom which kept our stress levels down, to Greg for getting the music together and offering his time free of charge on the night to keep all us screechy birds in line - not a task for the faint hearted! To Keith at 'Digimem' who was snapping photos, to Nick at 'Old Nick Art' for some great Facebook artwork and finally big thanks and sloppy kisses to Ant and Nick for letting us run with this fabulous idea.

"We really wanted to do something to raise funds for LOROS and we're delighted at the final total; we hope it will help the Hospice, who does such wonderful work for our local community.

Adrian Walker, Senior Fundraiser at LOROS, said: "This was one of our more unusual community events to raise funds for the Hospice and it was a huge success - I am aware that the tickets sold out within days of them going on sale - well done TC Burlesque!

"It is heart warming to know that local people keep on being so giving, not just with donations, but with their time and commitment, which are both vital in ensuring that our fundraising events continue to succeed. We have to raise £4.5 million every year in order to meet the cost of caring for, and supporting terminally ill patients, their families and carers from across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland - Thank you all for your very generous donation".
