Sam Nathanie and her family raised £700 for LOROS from her cake sale.

The event was organised to raise funds for LOROS in memory of her husband Abdul.

Adrian Walker, Senior Fundraiser at LOROS said: "We are so grateful to people like Sam and her family who help raise funds for the hospice.

“They really are vital in helping us providing our services to local people and their families.

“£700 is such an incredible amount and we would like to say a big thank you to Sam and everyone who helped her in her fundraising.”

Could you raise funds for us by holding a cake sale?

It would be a great excuse to spend the day baking tasty treats for family, friends and colleagues.

Here are a few ideas you might like to try...

Go big and create a "Bake Off". Set the date and ask friends or colleagues to bring in their favourite bake. Invite a couple of people to be judges to taste everyone’s hard work, crown the baking champion and then auction off the cakes!

Organise a bake sale at work or school. Ask friends or colleagues to bake for the office.

Create a cake for your colleagues and sell slices for a small donation.

Whatever you decide to do, we will provide you with a LOROS collection box and informative literature for your sale table.
