On Saturday, 13th December, Santa visited GE Druck in Groby and passed out gifts to local children.

The festive event was very well attended and, despite the fact that it was somewhat chilly, the atmosphere was very merry and warm. The GE staff wore their jolly Christmas jumpers, the beautiful festive decorations adorned the trees and buildings and mulled wine, soft drinks and mince pies were served to the visitors.

Alt textGE Druck's chosen charities, LOROS and Air Ambulance, were both at the event to raise awareness about their respective organisations and help to raise funds by running a raffle, organising a lucky dip for the children and selling Christmas novelties and cards.

Magdalena Korytkowska, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS said: “I would like to thank Karen Brierley and everyone at GE Druck for organising this festive event in aid of LOROS and Air Ambulance and for inviting us to be part of the evening. It was fantastic to see so many smiley faces!

"The event was very successful for LOROS. We raised more than £100, which could pay for up to 20 meals for our patients for a day and our Lottery Promoter, Sarah, signed up 6 new members, which is fantastic.”

Alt textKaren Brierley, from GE, Measurements and Control, said: “The event went really well and we would like to thank our charities for helping us make it such a success. The money raised by serving refreshments will be split up between our two nominated charities, who both had stands at the event. We are always very happy being able to help LOROS provide their vital services to our local community."
