Pedestrian students raise money for LOROS

Pedestrian Ltd is a local charity providing education and training to young people at risk and adults in challenging circumstances. Their programmes and courses are aimed at developing confidence, emotional resilience and increasing self-esteem.

They have completed over 9,000 workshops since 1998 and one of their latest events was a two day workshop to enable their students to learn how to make jewellery and design Christmas decorations. Some of the decorations were taken home and the remainder were kept to sell in aid of LOROS.

The team set up their own pop up craft fair at Grays Coffee Shop & Kitchen in the LCB Depot, Rutland Street, where they raised £31.23 in just three hours. One of the participants enjoyed herself so much that she decided to take the remaining items away with her to sell at another craft fair.

Magdalena Korytkowska, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS said: "We are still waiting for the final total, but I am delighted that the students have enjoyed themselves whilst raising funds for us and I look forward to meeting some of them when they come to present their cheque in the new year."
