LOROS Winter Walk raises thousands for LOROS

Back in December, a warmly clothed group of intrepid walkers braved the snow to take part in the five mile long LOROS Winter Walk from Houghton on the Hill to Keyham and back.

As well as refreshment stops at the Houghton and Keyham Village Hall’s, walkers were also treated to goodies by staff at Keyham Kennels.

Adrian Walker, Senior Fundraiser at LOROS said: "The adverse weather certainly affected the number of walkers this year but, despite this, organisers still believe they will raise over £5,000 for LOROS.

"This was the 35th year the walk has been held making it, what is believed to be, the longest running (or should I say walking!) event for LOROS. I would like to say a huge thank you to the organisers and supporters of this very popular and successful walk, which has raised many thousands of pounds to help us care for for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland each year."

Please look out for details of this year’s walk which will be held on Sunday 27th December.
