Coach trips to a number of exciting locations across the country are being organised this year to raise money for county hospice charity LOROS, Macmillan Cancer Support nurses and Market Harborough Medical Centre.

Joan’s Coach Outings are named after inspirational Harborough woman Joan Allen, who organised the trips for more than 20 years and raised £60,000 for the three causes before her death in August 2013.

This year’s scheduled trips are as follows: Stratford-upon-Avon on Saturday, April 25; Coventry and Kenilworth Castle on Tuesday, May 19; Sandringham on Thursday, June 18; King’s Lynn on Friday, July 17; the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire on Monday, August 10; Oxford on Thursday, September 10; and Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire on Friday, October 9.

The coach can pick people up from outside Harborough Market in Northampton Road, or Desborough and Great Bowden.

Tickets cost between £12 and £15 and the coaches depart at either 9am or 8.30am.

For more details call Jill Mann, who with Sandra Ward has now taken on the role of organising the trips, on 01858 461572. Alternatively, you can visit the LOROS shop in Coventry Road, Market Harborough.
