Doreen & Ethel's Thousand Mile Challenge

News

17 Mar 2015

Doreen and Ethel, along with their human Sherpa's Sarah and Simon, are going to walk a minimum of 1,000 miles in 2015 to raise money for the LOROS hospice, which provides wonderful and much-needed care for the terminally ill.

Simon Bartlett, leader of the pack, said: "Three years ago, our dear friend Kate Gregory was cared for by LOROS. We could not fault how they looked after her, but they also made every effort to support family and friends in a way that was deeply appreciated. We wanted to do something to repay LOROS for everything it did, and hope that you will help us to do so."

As of today, Doreen and Ethel have walked 370 miles and have currently raised more than £1,000. If you would like to follow their progress or donate to their very worthy appeal, please visit their JustGiving page.
