Neighbourly campaign nets £1,000 for LOROS

Over the Christmas period, Neighbourly.com partnered with Starbucks and launched the "neighbourlynoise campaign". From each of their 35 regions, 2 charities were chosen to compete for the chance to win £1000 donation! The competition was simple, the causes which received the most online votes during the campaign period would be awarded £1000.

Thanks to our wonderful supporters and friends we managed to create a social buzz around the campaign and have won one of their donations.

Ryan Seville from Neighbourly.com recently visited LOROS as part of his tour around the UK to meet some of the winners of the campaign. Ryan said: “It was great visiting a handful of the charities involved in the Starbucks neighbourly noise campaign. Sometimes in the Neighbourly.com office we forget that it's all about helping the people and organisations on the ground that are doing genuinely amazing work to improve the lives of others."

Magdalena Korytkowska, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS said: “We would like to thank Starbucks for inviting LOROS to take part in their Christmas Neighbourly.com Campaign 2014 and for their kind donation of £1,000 towards the work of the Hospice. This amount is equivalent to the cost of 200 days worth of meals for or patients or 40 hours of care for one of our inpatients.”
