A team of 12 walkers recently completed the 96 mile West Highland Way Walk from Milngavie to Fort William to raise funds for LOROS.
The weather was incredibly kind to them and improved day on day, allowing the walkers superb views of the snow-capped mountains and Loch Lomond; in fact it was so good that the top of Ben Nevis was clearly visible, which only occurs for approximately 30 days a year. Such was the lure of the mountain that three quarters of the team decided to climb Ben Nevis the day after completing the walk.
Adrian Walker, Team leader and Senior Fundraiser at LOROS said "It was an absolute pleasure to organise and participate in the trek with such lovely people who were determined to complete their venture in aid of our Hospice. The weather was unusually kind and allowed us to really appreciate the stunning scenery along the way.
"I would like to thank the whole team for their comradeship and excellent company and look forward to seeing them all again at our post walk reunion"
The team are hoping they will make £10,000 for the Hospice when they have received all their sponsorship and donations.
