Once a year the Business Services team at Europcar make a special effort to raise funds for local charities. This year LOROS was selected as one of four charities to benefit from the fundraising efforts of the Europcar employees, their friends and families.
On Thursday 30th April, Sue Roberts, Senior Executive Relations Officer at Europcar, came to the Hospice to present a cheque for £335 to Fundraising Co-ordinator, Magdalena Korytkowska.
Magda said: “We would like to thank everyone in the Business Service team for their continued support to LOROS. The amount they have raised for us is equivalent to the cost of conveying 33 of our outpatients to the Hospice and back for their day therapy treatment. Alternatively, it could pay for a specialist nurse to care for our inpatients for nearly four days.
"I look forward to working alongside the team in the future.”
Following the presentation, Magda showed Sue around the Hospice and provided her with more details about how their fundraising helps the patients and their family members and carers.
