Porter&May, who recently chose LOROS as their Charity of the Year for 2015, organised an art competition as part of an Open Day to raise awareness and funds for the Hospice.

"My dream home" was the subject and Porter&May simply asked particpants to let their imagination run free!

Entries were displayed at the the Porter&May Art Exhibition at Victoria Hall on the 25th April where visitors where invited to partake of tea and cake, make donations, bring along any unwanted goods such as clothes, games, toys for the LOROS donation station and take part in a charity raffle with all proceeds going towards LOROS.

The winning entry (right), was by Freya Southernwood, aged 6, who received a prize and secured some very special prizes for her school. Her entry will be featured in the forthcoming promotional material on the Porter&May website.

Porter&May's Romy Letteri said: "Here, at Porter&May we support LOROS, helping extraordinary people provide care for even more incredible people and their families. Despite the hospice team being made up of a huge number of volunteers, LOROS care is dedicated and outstanding. The backbone of the charity is driven by the kindness of the staff and it is an amazing place that needs continual support.

"Our input is very small compared to the dedication of most but we were overwhelmed at the instant response we received once we started raising awareness for LOROS. We set up a donation station in our Oakham offices where we were inundated with donations of clothes, house goods, games and toys etc.

"LOROS is such a wonderful charity that we, and everyone we talk to, are beyond proud to support."
