The 33rd/65th Leicester Scout Troop is working hard to increase their £50 stake in the LOROS Accumulator Challenge.

Cathy Kennel, the troop leader said: "Over the last few weeks we have given out A4 sheets of paper to the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and asked them to fill them with loose change. We have called this Stick-A-Sheet. So far we have had eight returned with a total of £34.86 attached to them.

"On Saturday the scouts spentAlt text the day washing cars and raised £103.82 and eight American dollars!

"The troop are all working very hard to raise as much as they can for this deserving cause and I am very proud of them all."

The LOROS Accumulator Challenge is an annual fundraising event where participants (individual or teams), are provided with a £50 stake. They then have three months to grow it any way they can as long as it is legal and ethical. Awards are presented for the “Most Innovative Idea”, "Most Engaging Idea" and the "Most Money Raised."

Magdalena Korytkowska, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS said: "This group of young people are doing an excellent job of increasing their stake and are a wonderful example of what you can achieve with a little thought and organisation.

"I know they have further events in the pipeline, which include a raffle and quiz night. I wish them continued success in their fundraising activities and look forward to seeing some of them at the Awards evening."
