After the success of their Twilight Walkers, staff at the Coventry Building Society, Leicester branch continued their winning streak by organising a successful Tombola and book sale.

The addition of some tasty samosas, cakes and crisps for sale, ensured a steady stream of visitors to the stalls and the team raised £440 to add to their total.

Julie Ball, manager of Coventry Building Society’s Leicester branch, said "We would like to say a big thank you to the local companies Alt textwho donated the books and crisps, but especially to all our staff and supporters, who are continuing to back our fundraising efforts.

"We have now reached the £1900 mark and are hoping that with the Colourfun Run that myself, Naz and Martha are taking part in on the final day of the Accumulator Challenge we will reach or exceed £2,000."

Magdalena Korytkowska, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS added: "I am delighted that the Coventry Building Society team is doing so well. Alt textTo raise this amount of money from just a £50 stake is really quite amazing and will make a real difference to our patients and their family members.

"What they have raised so far could contribute to the towards the running of the day therapy service for a day and still leave enough left to pay for 16 hours of care for one of our inpatients.

"I hope their staff and friends will get behind Julie, Naz and Martha and help them to smash that £2,000 barrier. What a wonderful achievement that will be!

"LOROS would like to say a massive thank you to the Coventry Building Society for raising awareness about our vision and mission. Our patients and their families are in the heart of everything we do."
