Almost 200 runners took to the streets of Hinckley town on Wednesday 17th June for the annual town centre run.

LOROS Fundraiser, Laura Fitzsawyer said: “Events like this one are a great way of staying fit and active whilst also raising much needed funds for the LOROS and Mary Ann Evans Hospices.

"LOROS has to raise almost £4.5 million pounds every year, so we love it when so many people come to support us. We are hoping to raise around £6,000 this year, which would be absolutely fantastic."

The winner of the race, was Gavin Smith, a member of the Newham & Essex Beagles Running Club, with a time of 15.30 minutes.

40 giant elephants from LOROS Hospice’s Stomp Round Leicester art trail were auctioned off last night, raising a mammoth £286,800 for the charity.
