Tight squeeze for Furnley House staff

Furnley House (Independent Financial Advisers and Mortgage Brokers) based in Syston, decided to check out how many of their advisers and staff they could squeeze into a FIAT 500 car to raise funds for LOROS. Backed by sponsorship from Sturgess Motors on Aylestone Road, the team were definitely up for the challenge.

Richard Burrows, Practice Manager said ‘We aimed to get 10 people into the car whilst making sure we could still shut the doors and windows. LOROS is our adopted local Alt textcharity for 2015 and so far we have already helped to raise close to £2,000 – in addition to Sturgess Motors we are grateful to all of our clients, professional connections, advisers and staff, who continue to support us’.

Magdalena Korytkowska said: “I was invited to watch the challenge and when the last door was closed and the last person was squeezed in through the window by his colleagues, we were all sure that they had achieved their aim of 10 people.

"Imagine our delight when the doors burst open and 11 staff popped out - what an amazing achievement!"

"Furnley House have now decided to throw down the gauntlet to other people to see if they can improve on this. So watch out all you accountants, solicitors, policemen, journalists or, for that matter, any 'group' of people, the challenge could be coming your way"

"Well done and good luck with your fundraising. The team truly deserve to be sponsored - you ca do that by visiting their just giving page!"
