Television presenter and LOROS Patron Anne Davies has officially opened the brand new LOROS By Design Shop.
The BBC East Midlands Today newsreader made an extra special trip to Leicester on Friday to open the Market Street, Leicester shop.
Anne, who also has her own fashion vlog on YouTube, said: “It was lovely to be able to come to Leicester and open the new LOROS By Design shop today, especially because everyone knows the one thing that I’m mad about is clothes and fashion.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to combine my love for fashion with my passion for LOROS.”
The shop, which used to be located in Queens Road, is bursting with designer items that can be bought at charity prices, including a selection of handbags, shoes and scarves.
The shop also has a brand new ‘by appointment only’ wedding parlour, which has already got a range of beautiful wedding dresses and accessories on offer.
Complete with fitting rooms, the wedding parlour gives brides-to-be the chance to buy their perfect dress at a bargain price.
And with dozens of gorgeous hats, dazzling pieces of jewellery and spectacular clothing already on offer, everybody and anybody will be able to find that special outfit to wear at this year’s summer wedding.
Anne added: “What a fabulous concept the bridal section is.
“Wedding dresses really only get worn the one time, so it’s a great opportunity for former brides to give their dresses away to someone who is going to love them as much as they did.
“And with wedding dresses being so expensive these days, it’s a great chance for brides-to-be to get that VIP experience and pick up a dress at less than half the price.”
Shop manager Abigail Jarrom said she was excited to officially open the shop and welcome members of the public into the store.
“Obviously we’re going to miss Queens Road but this is such a big opportunity for us,” she said.
“The shop is bigger, it’s a very busy area and there are lots of similar shops surrounding us.
“I’m particularly excited about the bridal boutique and I’m looking forward to sharing that special experience of dress shopping with lots of brides-to-be.
“And wedding dresses are always welcome, so bring yours down and pass it on to its next loving home.”
