SUPPORTERS of the LOROS hospice attended an open day and tied ribbons to a tree to remember loved ones.
Saturday's open day, celebrated the hospice's 30th anniversary, and Fleckney baker Fiona Cairns, who made the wedding cake for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, made a birthday cake for the hospice in Groby Road,Lelcester.
Among the ribbons tied to the tree was one to remember Sylvia Lisemore, who died at the hospice in 1996, aged 70.
During the past two decades her four children have donated more than £5,000 to the hospice and regularly attend events there.
Her daughters, Elaine Steans and Sandra Garside, were at the event. Elaine,63,of Braunstone Town,said: "We've always supported LOROS for the fantastic way they made our mum comfortable at the end of her life and we really enjoy going to the events."
"There was a band playing live music and we visited the chapel as well as going to the garden, where we tied a ribbon on to the tree to remember our mum."
