A team of volunteers from Barclays Bank, on Belgrave Road, Leicester had their paint brushes and gloves at the ready for their "Day to Make a Difference."

As well as helping to sand down and re-paint our garden benches, they also donated a garden arbour to the Hospice in memory of Jaimals's uncle, who died in LOROS.

Jaimal Patel, who is the Business Manager at the branch, said: "The arbour will be a lasting memorial of my uncle and means so much to me and my Family - it's great to know that so many people will be able to enjoy it. The whole team thoroughly enjoyed their day at LOROS once again this year and we are already looking forward to the next volunteering opportunity".

Now that the wooden seats have received some much needed TLC, they will be placed in the Hospice garden where patients and their families can sit, relax and enjoy the scenery and wildlife.

Laura Betts, Events lead at LOROS, said: "It was a pleasure to welcome back the Barclay's team. Last year they refurbished our summer house and this year they have continued to help make our garden more inviting for our patients and their families.with their garden theme. I hope they found the experience rewarding.

"I would like to say a huge thank you to them all for their hard work and enthusiasm on the day and for the donation of the arbour - it is an asset to the garden and I know that it will be very well received by both the patients and the staff."
