Preparations are underway for the seventh annual Great Glen Wheelbarrow Race and Summer Fete on Saturday 5th September at the Recreational Ground, Bindley’s Lane, Great Glen, Leics LE8 9FA.
There will be entertainment, side stalls, food, licensed bar and lots to see and do for all the family.
The fun starts at 12:00pm with the Junior Race starting at 2.15pm and the Adult Race at 3.15pm.
Why not get involved and enter one of the races, there are prizes for the winners and the best dressed barrows. Entrance fee: Adults £10 per team & Children £5 per team.
Do not worry if you do not have a spare barrow, the kind owners at Mighty Products Ltd have donated free barrows to use on the day for the first 20 teams.
